CMP 201 is a unique fluid formulated for use in Edwards Vacuum® vapor booster pumps. It is a severely hydro-treated paraffinic oil base stock which has a very high strength state of the art anti-oxidation package blended into it under a high vacuum double molecular distillation process and exhibits excellent oxidation resistance properties.

We had an independent testing laboratory compare CMP 201 to APIEZON 201® in a modified RBOT D-2272 test to show the difference in oxidative stability. This test employs a method to achieve rapid oxidation of the lubricants and determine the total minutes to destruction, the change in viscosity @ 40° C. and the acid number increase in the oil layer.

In the test results below you will see that the CMP 201 lasted far longer in time to destruction, showed far less viscosity change and a much lower acid number increase compared to the APIEZON 201®.
